The purpose of the fund is to support Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish lawyers who wish to acquire improved qualifications for practising maritime law through academic research or practical legal experience outside the Nordic countries.
The size of the scholarship varies, but has over the last few years been up to NOK 200,000.
