Benedicte Haavik Urrang graduated from the University of Oslo in 2012. She also holds an LLM in Maritime Law with distinction from the University of Southampton.
Benedicte has worked as an associate in the shipping and offshore department at the leading Norwegian law firm BAHR. Prior to joining Nordisk in August 2016, she worked at the legal secretariat of the Norwegian Supreme Court. Benedicte was a board member at the Young CMI from 2017 to 2019. In 2022, she became the editor of Nordiske Domme (the Scandinavian Shipping & Transport Law Report Journal) and a Karnov author contributing to the commentary to the Norwegian Maritime Code. She is also in charge of Nordisk’s internship programme.
