Sveinung Rostad

Sveinung Rostad is an experienced shipping, transactions and finance lawyer. He joined Nordisk in 2024 after spending six years at Simonsen Vogt Wiig law firm, where he primarily worked with transactions and financing in the shipping, offshore and energy sectors. He has wide experience with sale/leaseback transactions, sale and purchase, asset and project finance and restructuring issues. He also has experience with enforcement of creditor rights and insolvency related issues.

Sveinung holds a master’s degree from the University of Oslo, where he specialised in maritime and insurance law. His master’s thesis discussed the extent of the shipowner’s vicarious liability under the Norwegian Maritime Code.
