This year the fund has awarded two scholarships, one to Philip Tonkin from Sweden who will attend a trainee program with a law firm in London and one to Johan Rönning, also from Sweden, who will attend a trainee program with a law firm in New York.
The fund provides support to Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish lawyers or legal practitioners who want to acquire better qualifications through academic or practical education in foreign and international maritime law. Each scholarship is for up to NOK 300,000, and more than one scholarship may be granted each year.
