In this edition of Nordisk Circular we provide summaries of two recent English judgments which we believe are of general interest to our members. The first case is an off-hire dispute where the main issue was whether charterers were responsible for disputes below them in the chartering chain which caused the vessel to be arrested (the Global Santosh). The second case provides clarification in respect of the duration of a time charter trip, in particular in relation to charterer’s desire to reload after discharging (the Wehr Trave).
