SEMINAR PROGRAM:

16:30 Registration – Coffee/tea
17:00 Welcome and introduction
A CONVERSATION: Reflections on the evolution of FD&D services –  from the Nordisk experience
During the past thirty years there has been a wave of new requirements that have made their way into contract documentation. Driven by legislation, events, and by commercial imperatives new clauses and contractual language continue to evolve to counter increased exposure. We take a closer look at these developments and share some of the lessons learned over the past three decades.

AN UPDATE: IMO 2020 Sulphur cap
It’s here! How is/has the transition period being/been handled; what problems have been exposed; and what will the future bring?

AN INTERACTIVE SESSION: Get up to date with recent legal developments that affect you.
The voyages of the good ship MISS ADVENTURE will be examined as she performs services under bareboat, time and voyage charters. This format will be used to illustrate the impact of recent judgments and awards. As is customary, this last session will be designed with a view to trigger audience participation. We will quickly highlight the facts and legal issue, seek your input and thereafter present the result handed down by the relevant court or arbitration tribunal.

19:30 Light meal/refreshments

We hope you can join us for this informal gathering to review and discuss topical issues, and not the least to meet and socialize with some of our lawyers and colleagues from different segments of the shipping industry.  This invitation may be forwarded to all personnel in your company who are involved in charter party and other maritime contract issues whether in management, chartering or operations.
